sorry to be writing this news ..
What I have to write is not really related but this is not of interest.
but I would like to expose and reaffirm some things that were written in this blog:

I am cabin crew for some years now at Stansted.
this is known as the worst of Ryanair BASE. when I say worst, I mean the way it is run by joanne Mullally.
joanne Mullally is the stansted base smanager for many years and seems to have a special powers in Dublin (Ryanair Headoffice).
this is a person who: screams, pushes and blackmail all the cabin crews as it finds within the crew room. especially those who are in standby airport.
she yells at everyone telling them that they have to deliver magazines to the aircrafts (even if is raining, MUST sell priority boarding, Stansted Express train tickets (which apparently is illegal under the BAA regulations), or (at Christmas time) selling Ryanair calendars.
fearful of losing job, all workers do it.
when these workers are "caught" eating or drinking are immediately informed that they can not do it!
When they try to explain they need to eat or drink are faced with an ultimatum: "Either you stop eating or you're fired"

As is in the SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURE
1.15.8.1.5 - While on airport standby Ryanair Shall Provide to the crew member a quiet and comfortable place not open to the public.
this is all a lie in stansted!!
sometimes we have a single table where do not fit more than 5 people!
I said sometimes because the table "disappears" often, forcing cabin crews to work on other things (like the aforementioned train tickets, priority tickets or calendars ...)

this is just one of many daily episodes!

my questions are:
-Who can defend us???
- Do we have any rights as foreign workers in the uk? (i would like to remind that in STN the majority are foreign BUT there are also English, Irish and Scottish workers)
-despite being "forbidden" by Ryanair, what unions can do for us?
(By the way, can they fire people for being in the union?)

thanks a milion

I have been in Ryanair over 5 years, and whilst I
Joined on a crewlink contract and have had a very good experience with the company I do understand some of the points mentioned.

Whilst I understand what you are trying to do, don't forget we are still working for Ryanair and your actions may be detrimental to our jobs

Thank you for your comment and it is good news your still enjoying your experience after 5 years..I do know a vast amount of probationary ryanair cabin crew that are not happy and are damaged by Ryanair...I do understand some actions our campaign will do may not be liked by all but the bigger picture must be looked at and others must be considered....Maybe your now contracted cc so your salary and working conditions are much better than Probationary Cabin Crew...
Ryanairdontcare Campaign is not against Ryanair Crew,we are against Management at Ryanair and always will be until shareholders sack the lot of them...
Happy New Year....

Anonymous 2nd January 2012..
As you have been at Ryanair for 5 years you must have a Ryanair Contract which has many benefits for you.
As for Probationary Cabin Crew which are up to 4000 at any one time, they have no joy..Exploitation of Probationary Cabin Crew must be stopped and contracted cabin crew must not only think of their own..Unite together as one....Let us also see how a 2 month leave with no pay for contracted Ryanair cabin crew will effect you..Next year it will be 4 months no pay and so on...Then come back to our Blog talking about us being detrimental to your job...

I was Joanne Mullaly assistant and I can say she is a bullier and show no respect for the people that works there. Everybody is afraid of her and she intimidates people. As we know Ryanair employs citizens from all over the world (cheap labour). This people come to UK trying to work and live a life with dignity and as so, we accept to be paid less and to be thretened as we don't want to go back to our contries. Joanne Mullally uses this as an weapon and intimidates everybody. Basically modern slavery where she says you have to work after hours without being paid or having extra time off, carry heavy boxes without help or equipments - even if this is not your job. One day I was stuck in traffic and got to my table 5 min later than usual - she called me on my mobile and told me off when I got to the office because I was late. I explained that I got stuck in traffic and she said 'I should have called to let her know`. Slavery!
I was always confronting her and she never liked that. I heard that Joanne physically hurt the girl that worked on my job before and because of that I never put my head down to Joanne. I think she know that I would punch her if she tried to touch me. I contacted this girl and she confirmed everything - Joanne yelled at her, calling her stupid, grab her on her arms and shaked her calling her names. This girls reported this to HR and resign. HR never did nothing. I asked if this girl would write a letter saying everything again and all about HR - she did. I sent the letter to HR. After that HR invited me to Dublin to talk about my `performance` - very curious isn't. They said my performance was bad and I was in probation. The next meeting with HR they ignored my complaints about Joanne and ignored the other girl's statement. Some weeks after, another meeting with Joanne and HR to dismiss me. I tried to give Joanne and HR a letter I wrote to them in hands on that meeting and both REFUSED to receive or to sign my copy. I had a cabin crew as witness, but he couldnt do much. Just pathetic. I coundt put them on court as I was on probation period and to sue someone you need at least 2 years in the company - another pathetic fact. And that's how Ryanair works... gets people for 1-2 year max under mega pressure and if you survive...you still working in a crap company. You know why Joanne is untouchable? Looks like she got more than half of the company shares... a proper C***! And she goes to the church in stortford.... lol...should be ashamed.
