Ryanairdontcare Campaign have been given the two comments below from young people who went to the latest Ryanair Recruitment for Termination assessment day at the Radisson hotel Stansted airport which was run by Crewlink who are Ryanair.....The two comments below have not been changed in any way shape or form, they are the words of two clever young people who saw Ryanair probationary cabin crew recruitment as what it is
                        100% SCAM

First Young Student

Well these are the reasons (professional and personal) why i thought it was a con.

+Made a big deal about wearing a knee length skirt and white shirt - people just turned up wearing anything - but were still offered an interview despite an email stating quite clearly they would not be. I would not have bought a knee length skirt or white shirt if had known this.

+One person turned up 30 minutes late and yet was still offered an interview (why did I and everyone else bother getting there early if we could all just turn up whenever, dressed incorrectly and get the same opportunities? MONEY!

+Starting salary of 1000EUR. But you can earn more through selling drinks and nibbles from the cart which could earn you an extra 250EUR on top (nothing set in stone however). After spending 3k on course fees, living arrangements, food and basics that’s not really enough to pay everything off after. Also, 250 EUR will be taken out of your salary every 12 months to pay for the uniform – and that’s not including living and food arrangements.

+The fees I was given (and it was all in Euros, to make things more confusing):
*500EUR to be paid asap when you are told you have been successful (they said it would be up to 10 working days before we heard the outcome, so that's half a grand to be produced instantly in 2 weeks, and it’s non refundable (of course).
*1,649EUR course fee. This is to be paid 3 weeks before the course starts (2 course start days, beginning of June (I think) or September. Raise your hand if you have 2k lying around! This is refunded however if you fail the course.
*700EUR accommodation. Again this has to be paid 3 weeks before the course start date, and is non-refundable.

Altogether that's almost 3k to pay practically upfront if you fancy joining asap. (On a personal level I think it is quiet disgusting as well to make staff to pay for their training in this field. I wanted to do this for the travel and adventure, not the money – but paying for a course for a job that’s not rocket science is quite obscene. Especially when other (better) companies offer theirs as standard, with pay it is just cheap).

+You are told which base you will be sent to after you have paid the registration fee and you have no say about where you are based. You are also sent to this base straight from finishing the 6 week course - but don't worry (as Alex - Crewlink trainer said) you can always sleep in a hostel until you've found somewhere.  If you take the September course (as most people probably would to give them time to raise the money) you will only be working for 6 weeks before you have your 3 months off. 3 months off in a strange country, where you probably don't speak the language or know anyone and have limited funds.

+The interview consisted of no more than box ticking and limited questions. I was asked to give 3 qualities that would describe my personality, and told a little more about the company – making sure I knew all the prices.

+ The training is in Hahn. I knew this, however for the case of trying to arrange alternative living arrangements and buying food i can only imagine how expensive it will be. We were told a food van comes once day that sells sandwiches (!) so that’s 6 weeks of paying for extortionately priced sandwiches, with limited other options. This is additional money to pay for as well, and no price range was given to us of how much we would need so you can only imagine.

I’m just annoyed I spent all this money on the clothes, and especially the travel to be told I will pretty much be working for free, living in a hostel, practically unemployed for the next couple of months. The whole thing just sounded like they were out to make as much money off of everyone as they could, and  the staff.

I felt sorry for all the other people who came a lot further away to be told this.

p.s You do get a grand back however over a 6 month period so that we don't "do the course and then 'run off' with the money"... I thought that was a cheek she said that since we are paying a lot more then a  grand!

Second Young Student

I also decided to turn them down, and here are my reasons. However, I am very grateful I got the chance and the opportunity.

The cost. I just can't let go of serious money for something that isn't even with Ryanair.
I am fully aware of how agency staffing works and I just fear so much that if I didn't get a RYR contract, I'd be out. And I can't ignore that some people have claimed - whether right or wrong - that staff are dismissed for being ill/no show/poor sales. Other than no show, I can't see why the other two are reasons to be dismissed. For me, this is just something I can't do. If someone else was paying for me, perhaps I wouldn't mind. But I am paying out for this, I'd give it all I have.
Realistically, on a short flight how much can you sell? I can't predict when I will be ill (I luckily haven't been ill in a long time!) and I'd never no show. But the risk is too high. I have to admit, paying for uniform is a little disappointing too. In addition to this, the average salary did not reflect what I have read and heard which is a cause for concern.

Bases. I personally would like to at least give 3 bases that I'd like, rather than just go anywhere. And at the presentation it was made clear that there are no promises to get the base you want even with a transfer. For me, I want to do this job in a place I would like to be. At the end of the day, it's not all about the work! I'd relocate to other countries but I'd at least like to say - any base in (for example) Spain, Italy, or Belgium. I have my reasons for going there and it would be better for me and also Ryanair! They don't count languages which I think is strange as English may be the international aviation language but not every passenger speaks English!

I do agree that the email stated about a dress code and a start time and this wasn't followed during the day! The interview wasn't really an interview either which on the one hand is great! But the other hand, I do wonder why. I did feel a lot of this is about the money to pay and not much else.

After long and hard thinking, I just had to say no. I can't afford to loose that much money with an agency that can terminate my contract very easily. Ryanair have only 1 more Boeing 737-800 to arrive so that's the current expansion to come to an end. Of course bases will change and small growth will continue, but I can't ignore that some people on here, and elsewhere, and to me personally, have said that you can be dismissed very easily. And the constant recruitment does make me wonder about this. And above all, the cost to work for them. Perhaps if the cost was lower, I could pay out of earnings, and I could have a say in the base - I'd have reconsidered.

However, for some people, the cost and base allocation may not be of a concern and I would wish everyone who went and got the job the absolute best of luck and best wishes for the future. They were honest and said it is not for everyone, and for me - working for Crewlink is not. If you want to contact me by email or Skype or another way, I'm happy to talk! Send me a message and I'll reply as soon as I can!

I didn't give up on the dream I applied with another airline and so far, so good :) ....

These two young students above make me very proud even

though i do not know them personally.

I wish to thank these two students plus wish them all the

very best in their search for a Real cabin crew job and

believe you both will make great future cabin crew......

Message to Michael O'Leary and David Bonderman.

Very nice to see Mr Eddie Wilson yet again

                   RECRUITMENT AT ALL TIME LOW

'' DOOMED TO FAIL'' Are you sure...........

Ryanairdontcare Campaign have been sent this website from the USA...Ryanair's Recruitment for Termination policy all around the world.

The British court system has issued its first human-specific ban for the upcoming 2012 London Olympics. The ultimate consumer advocate, John Foley, now faces arrest if he protests anywhere near the games. Foley's been on a bit of a tear recently over budget airliner Ryanair, which he believes unfairly fired his daughter, and has proved quite “ingenious in his disruptions," according to the police. As part of his "Ryanair Don't Care" campaign, he forced authorities to fetch the boltcutters after handcuffing himself to a goalpost during a January Manchester City soccer match. Cops found a plastic mask resembling Ryanair's CEO in his pocket. In 2011, he jumped out into the middle of a horse race holding a protest sign above his head, provoking an irate racing fan to later punch him in the face. He climbed on top of a hotelat Liverpool John Lennon Airport the year before that with a banner reading "STOP RECRUITMENT SCAMMING CABIN CREW." Foley's daughter must be the most proud, or embarrassed, kid in the world.

Ryanairdontcare Campaign would like to put the record straight with regards the article which was placed in the Liverpool local Rag the Liverpool Echo today..We would also like to clear up the words which were said to the Police on 16th May 2012 were Ryanairdontcare Campaign's founder John Foley voluntary attended a meeting with police at St Anne Street police station....

As you can see the article in the Liverpool  Echo below.Click photo to enlarge.

At the meeting on 16th May 2012 at St Anne Street Police Station with Merseyside's Special Branch

officers Julie Bolton and Simon Draco, asked for by the Metropolitan Police  i was informed that the Metropolitan Police would dealt with protesters harshly which John's understanding being, the Met may use arms to deal with protesters.
I did say Quote '' if the Met Police are armed and a peaceful protest took place then it would need the professionalism of the Police to distinguish a peaceful protester to a person out to harm someone.
As reported in the Liverpool Echo,( if i get shot i am prepared to go) this is not true and is a lie...
We do believe the Police have twisted John's words to achieve their banning order in London.
As for the member of the public saying John said,a  high-profile,spectacular disruption at the games, this also is untrue and yet again said by the Police to achieve their banning order for the whole Olympic games.
What i did say at Manchester Airport in 2011 at a Ryanair/Dalmac recruitment day was.Quote '' i have a spectacular peaceful protest planned for the Olympics''.said to a Greater Manchester Police Officer, not a member of the public.
It is quite shocking that the Press and Police are guilty of not being honest. This is not spin or an exaggeration,it is a Lie the very same as what we are fighting  daily....''Ryanair's Lies''.

John said,
I do not wish to comment with regards the Police or the Press as i am sure viewers to this Blog can work it out for themselves.
I must point out that any effects to damage myself or the Ryanairdontcare Campaign with lies will always happen.
When your trying to help others and BIG money is involved, i will be a target........
Ryanairdontcare Campaign will continue....

''Doomed to Fail'' Mr O'Leary...................

31 May 2012

Ryanairdontcare Campaign's John Foley has have a very busy

 last 2 weeks campaigning in

London Stansted Airport,Police meetings and 3 court hearings.

Ryanairdontcare Campaign was set up November 2008 after

 our founder John

Foley's daughter was Recruitment Scammed by Ryanair as probationary

Cabin Crew and left in a foreign country penniless at 18 years old. After being

contacted by so many young people with the very same story

''Recruitment for Termination'' RYANAIRDONTCARE CAMPAIGN was born.........

This has lead to a 4 year Campaign which has lead to protests in the

 UK and Ireland

some being unlawful  which has lead to John being  arrested 7 times, days in Police cells,Fines, assaulted,

52 weekly reports to probation office, many reports to police stations, personal

injury, months of Internet work, months of travel (UK and Ireland),

police harassment ''sorry police guidance'' European Travel ban

and death threats.

A personal meeting which Ryanair's Michael O'Leary finally agreed to in 2011

took place were Mr O'Leary had the chance to meet the No1 Ryanair protester

who was no way money orientated, which was a shock to Mr O'Leary as he could not

BUY Mr Foley's silence....

John confirmed his love for his daughter is Not for sale and told Mr O'Leary protests

will continue not only for what Ryanair did to his daughter but to help stop

it happening to others.

We  wish to thank Liverpool's Solfed for their support in the March 2012 week

action and boycott of Ryanair which had a very big impact all over the Internet

with support given to Ryanairdontcare Campaign from all over Europe.I must point

out that no support came from the UK press which was expected but the Recruitment for

Termination of young people wishing to become cabin crew was out there...

The results are so amazing and are true...Recruitment days and training dates

by Ryanair,

Crewlink,Dalmac,St James Management and Cavok have been delayed, cancelled.

or even not taken place  as a direct result of this campaign.Young people wishing

a career in aviation as cabin crew are aware of Ryanairdontcare's Blog,

which is great news.

Ryanair's recruitment day on Wednesday 23rd May 2012 was very interesting and

believe this shows the Police  favoured Ryanair and are not impartial to protests.

John Foley travelled down to the Radisson hotel which is based in the grounds of

Stansted airport..The Ryanair/Crewlink recruitment was to start at 10.30am  and John Foley

made his was to the Radisson  hotel at 10.12am.As John walk towards the hotel he was

shocked to see Mr Eddie Wilson who is Chief of Personnel at Ryanair walking towards him,

John ready with a video camera had one word for the Chief TERMINATOR at Ryanair.

As you can see smirk faced Mr Wilson did not comment...Why was a Ryanair chief

at a recruitment day by Crewlink, when all along Ryanair say Crewlink are not Ryanair

and they are a third party provider of cabin crew,WHICH IS A LIE.

Recruitment is so low that Mr Wilson had been summoned to attend by Mr O'Leary

to put some weight at this recruitment day..We can confirm this main UK recruitment

day was attended by ONLY 40 young people..This is still unacceptable but Ryanairdontcare

Campaign has done a great job..This recruitment day should have been attended by

100 to 150 young people..As recruitment at Ryanair is low then Termination will

be low also...Ryanair have a policy, the more young people they recruit as probationary

cabin crew the more probationary cabin crew Will be TERMINATED.

I entered the hotel but could not see any students so i walked

out and gave 4 leaflets out to students from outside the building..

What happened next is quite shocking,Mr Wilson was the only person to see me and

must have called the airport police to inform them of my lawful protest.

I left the airport grounds within 5 minutes and within 15 minutes the police tried

3 times to phone my mobile to see were i was,by then i was on my way to London

to see my sick brother.

As you can see below Essex police  got involved at the request of Ryanair's

Eddie Wilson who was the only person to have seen me.Below is

the tracking of this blog and you can see Essex police even checked Ryanairdontcare's

twitter account. As if i was going to tweet were i was...

The very next day  Thursday 24th May 2012 my solicitor's Mark Jones & Partners

attended a court hearing regarding John Foley's ASBO which did not need attendance

by John..The prosecution told John's solicitor  that they would be asking for an airport

banning order to stop his protests outside airports. What is interesting is ''Ryanair

London recruitment takes place outside Stansted airport'' to stop his protests at

future Ryanair recruitment days..The prosecutor said this ban was to protect national

security at all UK airports..My solicitor pointed out that if the police applied for this banning

order to stop protests outside all UK airports then his client would buy a ticket to

fly with any other airline apart from Ryanair from a UK airport and do a lawful

protest air side... The police never asked for an airport ban........

Today 31st May 2012 Ryanairdontcare Campaign founder John Foley has been told

a ban will be in place to stop him entering London,M25 around london and within.

These papers will need to be served on John in person by Merseyside police at some point.

Mark Jones & Partners in Liverpool are meeting to discuss the next move.

  John said,

Wish to thank James Gore from Mark Jones & Partners who are helping me

   make justice possible...

As you can see Ryanair's Eddie Wilson was in contact with the UK police and

i can now confirm they are not impartial to my protests....

I can confirm Ryanairdontcare Campaign will continue to fight Ryanair's David Bonderman

  and Michael O'Leary 24/7..........''Guaranteed''
