A RYANAIR plane was forced to divert to East Midlands Airport after it suffered difficulties in the air.
Leicestershire Fire Service sent six fire engines and a community support vehicle to East Midlands Airport on Thursday, July 30, at 6.34pm.The fire service said they were called to a report of a passenger plane in difficulty.
They were called to be on stand-by.
It has not been confirmed where the plane was flying from or its final destination.
East Midlands Airport said that it was a Ryanair airline and “landed safety”.
The airport said that the plane was diverted and not bound for East Midlands Airport.
A spokeswoman from the airport said there were no delays to other flights and services.
