A COMPANY licensed by the Dublin Airport Authority to sell London rail tickets from kiosks at Dublin Airport has claimed its business there is "close to collapse" due to an orchestrated campaign of harassment, bullying and obstruction of its staff by Ryanair and its agents.

Ticket Generator Ltd, a British company, yesterday secured interim injunctions from the High Court restraining the alleged intimidation. The orders were sought by Mel Christle SC, with Jarlath Ryan, for TGL, and were made returnable by Mr Justice Frank Clarke to tomorrow.

The company claimed staff at its kiosk near the Ryanair departure gate at Terminal One in Dublin Airport were constantly harassed and that the public address system for Ryanair flights to Stansted was being used every five minutes to advise passengers to buy tickets for the Stansted Express from Ryanair and not from the "DAA", "Dublin Airport" or "the kiosk".

Fred Gross, a director of TGL, said it operates from the terminals of 15 European airports and he never before heard of such "malicious and vituperative" behaviour in all his experience in the industry.

Ryanair’s behaviour was such that staff working at the kiosk had complained of pressure, stress and sleeplessness, he said.

I'm currently crew contracted to Ryanair via Dalmac,Workforce International Contractors.When I went to the interview I asked a very specific question,as anyone would,what was the average salary?The staff giving us the talk told me that it would be £1000-1200 after tax. I was rather excited by this,so I pressed on and accepted the the offer for training.The training cost including accommodation was €2700 plus €200 deposit at the start of the course,which was deducted monthly from my salary as I was informed that my wages would be £1000+.1200 Within my first 6 months my salary averaged after tax £732,then on top of this they began deducting my training repayments direct from my wages in my second month.I also had to pay for my uniform which was a further £25,so all in all from the £732  I was averaging I had £291 + £25 taken directly from my wages. After my third month I was in severe financial difficulties due to the fact that my base was 'over crewed' and we were given roughly 40 hours p/m to work with.We complained and complained to Workforce International that we were suffering terrible due to the lack of hours available to us,but they  kept on sending new crew to the base ensuring that the few hours available were even further divided which added to our woes! I struggled to feed myself for months,I sold most of my possessions,including my laptop just so I could afford my rent and be able to commute to work.The only thoughts in my head day in and day out for months was,my personal finances,wages,rent,food it was an extremely difficult time dealing with all these worries due to the fact that Ryanair and Workforce had put me in a position of being given next to no hours,but yet 'fleeching' me to pay back the 'training cost'.I asked Ryanair and Workforce to reduce my training repayments so I could better survive on the hours we were given,but they refused,even though they knew that we were coming out with £400/500 to live on,pay rent with,feed ourselves and commute work with. They didn't even make any effort to help us with our situation,we were left to our own devices in a foreign country,struggling to survive.
Think twice if you which to join ryanair.

Ryanair’s behaviour was such that staff working at the kiosk had complained of pressure, stress and sleeplessness, he said.

He said persons wearing Ryanair uniforms had sought to divert passengers away from the TGL kiosk by handing out fliers advising purchase of tickets for the Stansted Express from Ryanair rather than TGL. He had also heard Ryanair staff inform people that TGL was a “rip-off” and “fraud”.

Ryanair was also misleading people about the costs of tickets from TGL and its staff were effectively picketing the kiosk, he said.

The court heard TGL began selling tickets at Dublin airport last August, having entered a licence agreement with the DAA. Ten staff were recruited from an agency to work at two kiosks at terminals one and two. TGL sells rail tickets from Stansted airport to Liverpool Street at Terminal 1, from which Ryanair flies to Stansted exclusively, and tickets from Heathrow from its kiosk in Terminal 2.

Within two weeks of starting its operations at Terminal 1, TGL’s staff were continually harassed, obstructed and intimidated by servants or agents of Ryanair in the sale of tickets, Mr Gross said. TGL had moved its kiosk farther away from the Ryanair departure gate in an effort to avoid such harassment but the activity of Ryanair continued resulting in staff at the Terminal 1 kiosk asking not to be assigned to work there, he said.

Sales at Terminal 1 had fallen by 50 per cent which he attributed directly to the harassment and obstruction, Mr Gross said. Sales at Terminal 2 had operated without interference by Ryanair and those sales had increased, he added.

In an affidavit, Mr Gross said TGL had a long-standing relationship with companies operating rail services from three London airports – Gatwick, Stansted and Heathrow – to various terminals in central London.

The injunction application was made on an ex-parte basis, meaning it was made without notice to Ryanair.

Ryanair staff 'paid less than OAPs'

Staff working for budget airline Ryanair claim they are paid less than pensioners.

A Norwegian TV channel said that some cabin crew members have to exist on food donations. NRK TV said it had seen wage slips showing Ryanair staff made an average of £1,225 a month.
The channel claims the annual gross salary of some crew was about £14,300, while pensioners get at least £400 more a year.
Ryanair chief Michael O'Leary said the pay slips "don't tell the whole story". Ryanair staff pay tax in Ireland so are not protected by Norway's labour laws.Article below.

RyanairDontCare Campaign have been informed that Ryanair have contacted British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the UK to complain about a radio show which asked the general public in Merseyside to phone in and talk about Protests.
John Foley founder of RyanairDontCare Campaign which is Europe's Greatest Anti Ryanair Campaign called radio merseyside which is based in Liverpool, to talk about his 3 year protest against Ryanair,Europe's Greatest Training Robbers Of Cabin Crew..
Radio Merseyside asked John not to mention Ryanair Holdings which was agreed..
