What this company is doing is using the Internet to get students to join their cabin crew training courses for a fee of up to 3000 euro then passing them on to a company called Crewlink or Workforce International to work on ryanair aircraft.They ,Stjames Management Services
say, live the high life....dinner in Paris...Your new career travelling the world starts here!...How can you do this when ryanair have a 25 minute turn around of aircraft.The main reason why they St James Management Services are making students think (great life to be cabin crew) is to get money off you for the training course.Once you pass the course you are given a contract ,not by ryanair but Crewlink or Workforce International .You are given a new joiner allowance which is taken back off you once you are terminated.
St James Management Services say you have a 3 year contract with Crewlink or Workforce International with 12 months on probation...
St James Management Services will say you can get a Ryanair contract after 12 months,well this is a lie.Over 60% of these probation cabin crew will get terminated before the 12th month..Your last month salary is taken for charges....

THIS IS A FIXED TERM CONTRACT BETWEEN CREWLINK (the company) WHOSE HEAD OFFICE IS LOCATED AT UNIT 39 SOUTHERN CROSS BUSINESS PARK,BOGHALL ROAD,BRAY,CO.WICKLOW,IRELAND AND STUDENT....
1.1 - you will be employed by the company (CREWLINK) and contracted to Ryanair ltd as customer service agent.This position will commence on date from and to.
1.2- this position is at all times subject to the company holding a contract with Ryanair ltd who are the client.For provision of cabin crew.In the even of crewlink losing the contract to provide personnel to Ryanair this contract will automatically terminate without notice...
1.3 - Employees will be able to end their contract with Crewlink before the 2 years are up as long as one month's written notice is given in advance and that all outstanding financial obligations have been met.
TERM OF CONTRACT
2. The term of this contract is from.. to ... the duration of Crewlink contract with Ryanair.In circumstances where Ryanair and Crewlink agree to extend their corporate arrangement this contract may be extended (subject to satisfactory assessment) however this is not GUARANTEED.

3 - YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A PROBATIONARY PERIOD OF UP TO 12 MONTHS DURATION FROM THE START OF YOUR CONTRACT DATE..THE PURPOSE OF THE PROBATION PERIOD IS TO ENABLE THE COMPANY TO ASSESS YOUR PERFORMANCE,ATTITUDE,CONDUCT AND GENERAL SUITABILITY WHILE YOU ARE BEING TRAINED/LEARNING YOUR NEW JOB AND BECOMING FAMILIAR WITH THE RULES,REGULATIONS AND STYLE OF THE COMPANY.YOU WILL BE INFORMED IN WRITING WHEN YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED YOUR PROBATION.IF DURNING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD THE COMPANY IS DISSATISFIED WITH YOUR PERFORMANCE OR CONDUCT,YOUR EMPLOYMENT MAY BE TERMINATED BY CREWLINK GIVING YOU THE STATUTORY NOTICE PERIOD OR PAYMENT IN LIEU THEREOF.ABSENCE FROM WORK,OTHER THAN APPROVED HOLIDAYS,WILL BE UNPAID.
a, As Ryanair aircraft are registered in the republic of Ireland and as you will perform your duties on these aircraft your employment is based in the republic of Ireland.You will be located principally at DUB (DUBLIN)airport and at such other places as Crewlink reasonably requires for the proper fulfilment of your duties and responsibilities under this agreement.
b,It is a CONDITION of your employment that you comply with any such requirements.This would include,for the avoidance of doubt,transfer to any of the Ryanair European bases without COMPENSATION.
7.1 -Earnings will be in the form of flight pay as outlined below.Flight pay will be paid one month in arrears and directly into your bank account on or about the 10th of each month.The flight pay rates will be fixed for the duration of this 2 year crewlink contract.THE FLIGHT RATES WILL BE FIXED FROM THE Ist APRIL 2008.
BLOCK HOUR----- 16.68 Euro.
Flight pay is calculated on scheduled block hour basis,and includes a premium for all hours associated with flight duty,including but not limited to pre and post flight reporting,delays and all inboard duties including the use of the handheld EPOS system.Your rate of flight pay also includes a premium for Sunday and bank holidays working.Flight pay is only paid for revenue flights.Flight pay will not be paid when you are unavailable to fly no matter what the circumstances are.An allowance for cabin crew meals is incorporated in the FLIGHT PAY.It is therefore your responsibility to provide your own sustenance while on duty.
8 - You may be entitled to receive a sales bonus award on in-flight sales in accordance with the agreement between Ryanair and Crewlink.The bonus is non contractual in status and is not intended to be incorporated into your contract of employment by reference in this agreement.The sales bonus award may be varied,amended or withdrawn at any time by Crewlink giving you at least one month's notice of such changes.Crewlink cabin crew are required to take the utmost care when dealing with bar allocations and accounting.Your sales bonus will be calculated on a flight-by-flight basis which is currently calculated as 10% of on board sales less any adjustments for any shortages in stock at selling price and any shortages in cash for any flights on which you operate as a crew member.The bonus figure shown on your monthly wage slip will be based on this above calculation.Once notice to terminate employment has been given by either you or crewlink ,you will not from this date be entitled to receive any payment on sales bonus for in-flight sales whatsoever.For the avoidance of doubt this includes any accrued but unpaid sales bonuses due at the date of termination has been given.
STAND BY DAYS ....important....
11. - Cabin crew will be required to work a number of ''stand by days''per month.whereby they must be available to work within one hour of being called,or immediately if standby duties are being carried out at the airport.If called to work remuneration will be in way of the standard sector pay rate.If you are required to complete standby duty in uniform at the airport and you are not called for a flight duty,you will be paid at the rate of 30 euro per day.There is NO PAY for home standby days if you are not called for flight duties.
30. - Subject as follows the company can terminate your employment at any time.
30.2 - During the probationary period the company may terminate your employment by giving you one weeks written notice while you are on a probationary period contract for 2 years...
30.3 - You can terminate your own contract with Crewlink with one months notice.There will be an additional administration cost of 200 euro deducted from your salary should you resign within fifteen months of your contract with crewlink..
The Word TERMINATE is used more than 15 times in your Crewlink or Workforce International contract,it is their favourite word...TERMINATE...
Thats how they are doing this scam.Young people and their parents are no looking at the contract because like most of us,we never think a big company like Ryanair would do a recruitment scam but they do.
